
The Client: New Day Yoga opened in Kansas City, Missouri, in Summer 2005. Owner Vlad Rangotchev offers a variety of yoga and Pilates classes led by a staff of instructors committed to inspiring and supporting new students in their journeys to emotional, spiritual, and physical health.
The Challenge: Vlad has used traditional advertising methods in the past, but he had little success and significant financial loss. He quickly learned to rely on word of mouth and client referrals as the best source for attracting new clients. Vlad noticed that many other local businesses in Kansas City had worked with Groupon to build their exposure in the local market, and he saw the platform as an extension of his existing marketing plan.
The Deal: $30 for Five Yoga or Core Pilates Classes and Five Acupressure Sessions at New Day Yoga
The Results: New Day Yoga sold more than 110 Groupons. Delighted with the results, Vlad worked with his Groupon Sales Representative to run four additional deals, the second of which sold nearly 2,000 Groupons.
